Participation in Yoshino Forest Forest Maintenance Activities

杉や桧の銘木が見事に立ち並ぶ桜の名所で世界遺産にも登録されている吉野山は、近年では荒廃地や放置林が点在し、景観や治山治水における影響が懸念されています。このような背景から、県、町、企業等が力を合わせて、「吉野フォレスト森林整備活動」を開催しており、エディオンはこの活動に2008年から参加しております。吉野神宮から金峯山寺蔵王堂(国宝)に向かう登山道沿いの山林の間伐や植林活動を行い、多くの市民とともに吉野山の自然環境の保全に取り組んでいます。

Participation in Hiroshima Forest Reforestation Activities

「広島フォレスト植林活動」は広島県竹原市において、1994年8月の山火事で失われた山林を再生するために2005年に行われた植樹を始まりとする活動です。2018年7月には西日本豪雨に伴う土砂災害により再び大きな被害を受けたことで、今日でも地元企業・行政・ＮＰＯ等が参画する山林復旧事業の一環として植樹や草刈りが実施されており、エディオンも継続的に参加しています。豊かな緑を取り戻すには長い時間がかかりますが、少しでも災害に強い山林へと再生させるため、市民ボランティアとともに地道な活動を続けています。

Participation in Nagoya West Forest Tree Planting Activity

名古屋市と地域の皆様の協力のもと、エディオン従業員およびその家族が参加し、愛知県名古屋市戸田川緑地中央地区内において平成20年から5年間で約6,000本の植樹活動を行いました。 また、森の成長にあわせて苗木の育成や植樹後の手入れを行うとともに、森の観察会や動植物の調査、間伐材を利用したクラフト遊びなど、森と親しむ参加型イベントの支援も行いました。今後も森を育て、森に学び、森を楽しむなどの様々な活動を通じ、地域環境に貢献してまいります。
