EDION Group respects the human rights of all stakeholders, regardless of personal attributes such as gender or nationality, and strives to prevent human rights violations by appropriately addressing the impact and risks of its business activities on human rights, in order to realize a society where the dignity of all people is protected.

Realizing a society where human rights are respected

EDION Group supports the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization's (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and will respond to human rights in accordance with frameworks such as the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Human Rights Policy

In recent years, stakeholders surrounding companies have increasingly demanded that companies take legal compliance, respect for human rights, and occupational safety seriously. To fulfill our corporate social responsibility by establishing an organizational structure for managing and appropriately addressing human rights risks throughout our entire supply chain, not just within our group, we have formulated the "EDION Group Human Rights Policy." By ensuring that each employee fully understands the policy and acts in accordance with it, we aim to build strong partnerships and long-term cooperative relationships with our business partners and others, ultimately striving to realize a sustainable society throughout our entire supply chain.

Human rights due diligence

Human rights due diligence is a continuous process that enhances the effectiveness of human rights respect initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and specifying the risks of human rights violations that may occur in connection with business activities, taking preventive and mitigation measures, verifying their effectiveness, and running a PDCA cycle. Based on the "EDION Group Human Rights Policy," our group will proceed with human rights due diligence initiatives.

Respect for employees' human rights

Internal whistleblowing hotline

EDION Group's Code of Ethics stipulates that employees should strive to foster a healthy organizational culture free from unfair discrimination and harassment, while respecting each other's human rights and paying attention to their health. To maintain a comfortable working environment where employees can perform their duties while being respected as individuals, we have established an internal reporting hotline in cooperation with labor unions and law firms. Furthermore, when responding to complaints and reports of human rights violations involving all stakeholders, we give full consideration to the honor, human rights, and privacy of those involved, and we take measures to ensure that those who report such incidents do not suffer any disadvantage.

Human rights education

To promote an understanding of respect for human rights, EDION shares its policies and case studies regarding harassment with all employees, including managers, and conducts training on reporting procedures and response methods for those responsible for harassment and managers. Through this, we strive to deepen understanding of harassment, prevent its occurrence within the company, and respond appropriately.

Customer Harassment Policy

EDION Group strives to provide peace of mind and satisfaction based on its management philosophy of "customer-first principles through provision of high-quality products and reliable service." In order to continue to meet customer expectations and provide even better products and services, we believe it is important to respect the human rights of our employees and protect them from harassment, and have therefore established the "EDION Group Customer Harassment Policy."

Equal pay for equal work

EDION Group is committed to the principle of equal pay for equal work, regardless of employment type or gender, and will ensure fair treatment for all employees by complying with relevant laws and regulations, including the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act.

Prevention of child labor

EDION verifies the age of all employees, including part-time and temporary staff, using official identification documents during the hiring process. By confirming that employees have reached the legally mandated working age and maintaining records of this, Edion prevents child labor from occurring in its business activities.

Respect for the human rights of our business partners

Human rights consultation and reporting hotline

To ensure transparent business practices with our partners and promote mutual growth, we have established a consultation and reporting hotline. Our "EDION Group Human Rights Policy" stipulates that we will appropriately address the impact and risks of our business activities on human rights. We strive to prevent human rights violations, and this hotline will handle whistleblowers with due consideration for their privacy and respond appropriately.

Respect for customer human rights
