New employee induction training plays an important role in putting our company's management philosophy of "Achieving the principle of "customer 's First" through high-quality products and reliable service" into practice.

    Employees who will lead EDION in the future will be selected from across all departments and undergo six practical training sessions over the course of a year to hone their broad perspective. They will acquire the management perspective and business skills necessary for next-generation leaders and aim to improve their ability to plan and propose reforms based on a medium- to long-term perspective.

    In order to provide better service to customers, we will implement a training program for newly appointed store managers. The purpose of this training is to acquire leadership skills, such as understanding and acquiring knowledge about the role of a store manager, and developing sales strategies to achieve store budgets.

EDION Academy, which was established in April 2023, promotes the development of future talent who will play an even greater role in their departments and take on mid- to long-term business operations. At the academy, employees who apply to enroll can broaden their perspective through programs that combine external training with self-reflection on their actions, while also strengthening their analytical and planning abilities and fostering autonomy and improving their skills. In-house certification system

In order to improve employee expertise and promote the allocation of the right people to the right positions, EDION will introduce its own internal certification system, the "Skill Certification" system, from fiscal year 2023. This system comprehensively assesses not only basic knowledge of home appliances and other products but also sales skills, and top performers will be awarded a "MEISTER" certification badge.

Qualification acquisition support

EDION has introduced a "Qualification Acquisition Support System" as one of the systems to increase opportunities for employee skill development and support career development. This system applies to all 13,000 employees, including temporary workers. We actively support employees in obtaining qualifications, such as providing subsidies upon passing exams based on qualification standards. As a result, many employees have acquired qualifications, which has led to improved service quality for customers and the development of highly specialized human resources. The qualifications and tests that are eligible are regularly reviewed.

Improving the learning environment

EDION has established various learning environments so that employees can proactively acquire new knowledge and skills and improve their capabilities. Correspondence courses include a wide range of courses such as qualifications, languages, management, and business skills, and tuition fees are subsidized upon completion according to the subsidy amount set for each course. In addition, we are working to expand the educational programs in our unique e-learning system, and have created an environment where a wide range of content can be learned at any time, including customer service etiquette, specialized product knowledge, and related laws and regulations. In addition, we also implement learning that combines face-to-face training and online training according to the purpose. Knowledge acquisition and enlightenment are carried out through the e-learning system, while customer service skills and collaborative learning are carried out through face-to-face or online training.
