The Small Home Appliance Recycling Law covers almost all electrical machinery and equipment except for the four items (TV, air conditioner, refrigerator / freezer, washing machine / dryer) subject to the Home Appliance Recycling Law, and is a nationally certified contractor (certified). This is a system that promotes the recycling of small household appliances by collecting and processing used small household appliances over a wide area.
再資源化事業者とは、使用済み小型家電の再資源化を適正に行うことができる者（再資源化事業を行うため、国に再資源化事業計画を提出し、経済産業大臣および環境大臣の認定を受けた者）として国から認定された事業者です。
イー・アール・ジャパンは、平成26年8月29日付で再資源化事業者として認定されました。
エディオンはイー・アール・ジャパンの委託を受け、各店舗で使用済み小型家電の回収をおこなっています。
