About our response to the Great East Japan Earthquake
2011.03.12

We donated 100 million yen on March 23 through the Central Community Chest of Japan as a donation to help those affected by the disaster and to help rebuild the affected areas.
In addition, we have decided to donate relief supplies (details will be adjusted).
Relief supplies will be provided as soon as the disaster area is ready to accept them.
In addition, the government has widely called on the people to save electricity because the power supply capacity has declined significantly due to the impact of this earthquake.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, we will use urgent power such as turning off some outdoor lighting and in-store lighting for 417 stores nationwide (all directly managed stores), and partially limiting the energization of over-the-counter products such as TVs. We will try to refrain from doing so.
In addition, we will endeavor to save electricity not only in stores but also in our employees and their families.
In addition, stores under the jurisdiction of TEPCO may be temporarily closed or the business hours may be changed due to the effects of rolling blackouts.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.
We sincerely pray for the earliest possible reconstruction of the disaster area.
