The Company will start handling the “ENEOS Solar Power Purchase Service” provided by JXTG Energy Corporation (Headquarters: Tokyo) from October 1, 2019 (Tuesday). This is a service to purchase surplus power generated by residential solar power at a higher price than major power companies, for customers who are expiring the term of the feed-in tariff (FIT).

Under the feed-in tariff, the government promises that power companies will purchase electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as solar power at a fixed price for a certain period of time. The purchase period for residential solar power generation, which began in 2009, will end in November 2019, and will cover approximately 530,000 units in November and December 2019 alone. Regarding the electricity whose purchase period has ended, you will either consume it yourself or sell surplus electricity under a free contract.

The "ENEOS Solar Purchase Service" purchases surplus power at a price of about 1 to 3 yen per kwh higher than a major power company. We will start handling JXTG Energy, which provides services at the highest solar purchase price in the industry, and promote sales of storage batteries.
In addition, to commemorate the launch of the new service, we will conduct a campaign to add 3 yen / kwh to the normal purchase price and purchase " EDION Premium Solar Power Purchase Service".
